Start with current official programs
Heating incentives can depend on the existing heat source, utility account, property, income eligibility, equipment, installer and application timing. Start with Better Homes BC and the relevant utility’s current program pages.
Do not assume a new gas furnace by itself qualifies because another type of heating upgrade receives support. Some programs apply to heat pumps or a specified combined system.
Resolve conditions in the right order
- Check the home and existing-system eligibility
- Find out whether registration or approval is required before work
- Confirm eligible equipment and contractor requirements
- Check whether incentives can be combined
- Keep the quotation, invoice, model details and required records
- Meet the application deadline and follow verification requirements
Keep the quote honest
Ask for the total price before rebates, any conditional incentive estimate and the net price only as an illustration until approval. The official program administrator determines eligibility and payment; this website does not approve or guarantee rebates.
