Before installation day
Confirm the appointment and access requirements. Ask how long heating will be interrupted and plan for the occupants. For strata or rented properties, confirm permissions and access arrangements in advance.
Discuss the proposed equipment and vent locations before work begins. A last-minute route change can affect appearance, clearances, approvals and cost.
Before calling the project complete
Request the appropriate commissioning and inspection records, operating instructions and warranty documents. Have the installer demonstrate the controls and explain filter and service requirements. Record who will handle follow-up questions and warranty service.
